Natives

Here at Shotover we are known for our natives. The the majority are grown just over at Manapouri and the seed is eco sourced locally. What that means is that you have plants that have been hardened to the central Otago weather.

We have all the natives you need for a re vegetation project in sizes to suit your space. Planting natives is important to help maintain the delicate balance of the native ecosystem of flora and fauna. Click on the images below for more information on each plant.

A beautiful tree for a sheltered position. An abundance of flowers in summer that are great for bees and insects.

Cortaderia richardii (Recently renamed to Austroderia richardii), the South Island toetoe. The grass so nice they named it twice.
